Some people love searching for shipwrecks on Google Earth so much that they have created giant interactive maps.
Enter the specific coordinates to view some of the best shipwrecks caught on camera. Google Earth has captured images of thousands of shipwrecks over the decades. Search the ocean depths and look for shipwrecks Google does note that the distance feature does not account for elevation, and it is most accurate when measured with a top-down (2D) viewpoint. We’ll still have to wait and see if the “Black Marble” will be just as iconic as NASA’s earlier efforts, but it sure looks stunning and, thanks to a collaboration between Google, NASA, and NOAA, you can now explore it just like any other map built on top of Google Maps. Earlier this year, NASA updated its iconic “ Blue Marble” image of the Earth, and last week, it released the first version of the “Black Marble,” its image of the planet at night.
